AI content is fast, efficient, and scalable. But if you’re not careful, it can feel robotic—leaving your readers cold and disconnected.

That’s where The Humanization Checklist comes in. These 7 steps are designed to help you review and elevate your content so it feels authentic, relatable, and human.

Here’s a preview of the first three steps:

Step 1: Read It Out Loud

What’s the quickest way to spot awkward, robotic sentences? Read them out loud.

📌 Why this works:
When you read aloud, you’ll notice stiff phrasing, clunky sentences, or unnatural flow. If you stumble over a sentence, chances are your readers will too.

What to do:

  1. Highlight any part of the text that feels hard to say naturally.

  2. Rewrite it to match how you’d speak in a conversation.

Example Fix:
AI: “This innovative solution provides actionable insights for business optimization.”
Humanized: “This tool gives you clear insights to run your business more smoothly.”

Step 2: Identify the Emotional Hook

AI often delivers facts, but humans connect through feelings. Ask yourself: What do I want my audience to feel when they read this?

📌 Why this works:
Emotions drive decisions. Whether it’s relief, excitement, or hope, tapping into your audience’s feelings makes your message stick.

What to do:

  1. Highlight any sentences that feel flat or overly factual.

  2. Add words or phrases that evoke emotion—use imagery, metaphors, or scenarios.

Example Fix:
AI: “Our software saves you time.”
Humanized: “Imagine wrapping up your workday before sunset—and finally having time to relax.”

Step 3: Replace Generic Phrases with Specific Examples

Generic phrases like “cutting-edge” or “high-quality” are AI’s favorite go-to’s—and they’re boring. Specific examples make your content stand out.

📌 Why this works:
Details create clarity and credibility. Readers trust content that paints a vivid picture.

What to do:

  1. Highlight vague phrases.

  2. Replace them with specific, concrete examples.

Example Fix:
AI: “Our platform is easy to use.”
Humanized: “You can set up your first campaign in under 10 minutes—even if you’re not tech-savvy.”
